Linnas Design has been selected by the city of Kanazawa for the "Citizen-Proposed Model Project for Creating Engaged Communities" for the 2024 fiscal year. As part of this initiative, we will be implementing a project to attract digital nomads, aiming to establish Kanazawa as a leading region for digital nomad communities and to foster engaged populations.

As part of this effort, we will host the "KANAZAWA Week" event from Friday, September 20th, to Friday, September 27th, 2024, connecting digital nomads with the city of Kanazawa!
"KANAZAWA Week" aims to connect digital nomads from across the country and the world with Kanazawa, the base of Linnas Design, creating a community that will inspire future engagement with the region in various ways.
At S-TOKYO, we are committed to supporting and managing this event, serving as a bridge between digital nomads and Kanazawa.
"Snack GLOCAL" × Kanazawa (Essayist Massi)
Glocal = Think globally, act locally 🌍
At "Snack GLOCAL," we invite local players from various parts of Japan and the world to enjoy talks and interactions! The event provides an exciting yet homely atmosphere, like stepping into a deep local pub, offering a stimulating and comfortable time 🎉
At the “Glocal Talk Session,” we will welcome Massimiliano Sgai, an Italian writer and essayist with a connection to Kanazawa, as a guest speaker. He will share his experiences and discuss the charms of life in Kanazawa.🎙✨
We will also provide light snacks and appetizers reminiscent of Kanazawa, with drinks available. Enjoy casual interactions with fellow participants 🙌

▶Massimiliano Sgai
His real name is Massimiliano Sgai.
Born in Piedmont, Italy in 1983. Graduated from the Department of Japanese Language at the Graduate School of Letters in Turin, he moved to Japan in 2007 and currently lives in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. After working as a Japanese-Italian interpreter, he is now a food and lifestyle writer based in Kanazawa and active throughout Japan.
In addition to the book "Italian Massi's Crazy Japanese Divine Gourmet" (KADOKAWA), he has also written and serialized many magazine articles, including a book review of "Poor Pizza" by Mari Yamazaki. In 2018, he established a corporation in Ishikawa Prefecture and provides consulting, editing, and writing services. His long-selling "The Complete Guide to Saizeriya" (note) has been read more than 1.5 million times.

Akihiro Matsushita, CEO of Linnas Design Inc.
Born in Tokyo. After graduating from Chuo University, he joined the general real estate service company JLL. He then moved to a hotel venture. He started his own business in 2020 and opened the community-style hotel "LINNAS Kanazawa" in Owari-cho, Kanazawa City in April 2021. In 2022, he co-founded the creative firm MiKS Inc. with Kanazawa-born designer Tsutomu Yoshizaki. His hobbies are traveling and learning languages.
[September 20-27] KANAZAWA Week Exhibition (Artist Yoshinobu Omori)
We are pleased to announce an exhibition by Yoshinobu Omori, an artist from Ishikawa Prefecture.

▼Yoshinobu Omori
An artist from Ishikawa Prefecture.
While studying in the English Education Department at Kanazawa University, he studied art in the United States. After graduating, he began his career as an artist in earnest. He continues to produce works with a free-spirited approach, unbound by any specific style, using the unique one-stroke technique he developed, where he creates a piece in a single continuous line. In addition to his artwork, he is active in various fields, including caricature events, live painting, television appearances, mural creation, and collaborations with various companies.
In this exhibition, you will find a selection of Yoshinobu Omori's signature works, as well as pieces that showcase his diverse artistic expression. We invite you to experience the creativity and innovative techniques that define his art.
